04/09/2018. Between 10-12th of April 2018 Madrid will host for the first time in Europe the EU-LA Mining & Exploration Convention and Trade Show METS 2018.

The conference will be inaugurated by the main representatives of the governments, industry and commerce and will address investment and business opportunities as well as other areas of cooperation.

The METS 2018 trade show will provide opportunities to discover investment and business opportunities by show-casing geological potential, exploration and development projects, research, technology and service providers.

 

Valdeflorez project in the MMH

10/18/2017. In the Technical Session / Market analysis of different minerals, Plymouth Minerals presented the Valdeflórez Project - Partnering for success and delivering the future. The exhibition took place in Sevilla during the second edition of the Metallic Mining Hall, an International Trade Show exclusively devoted to Metallic Mining.

The session presented national projects related to lithium, wolfram, gold, potash and energy mineral markets.

 

The main Mining Association of Galicia held a meeting at the Mine of San Finx

07/10/2017. The “Cámara Mineira de Galicia” (COMG) met last 6th of July at the historical buildings on the Mine of San Finx to hold the board of directors showing explicit support to the project Tungsten San Finx is upgrading. 

After the meeting at the information center of the mine, which was concluded by the Mayor of Lousame Teresa Villaverde, the COMG members visited the historicale mine village, refurbished today as a Mine Museum showing old machinery and information and pictures of the mine since the XIX century. At the afternoon, the group visited the underground mine and the actual mine facilities to check how the updating and upgrading of the centenarian mine is being done.

 

VM takes part in the "International meeting of mining and metallurgy"

05/11/2017. The management of VM attended to the IV International meeting of mining and metallurgy, organized by Confedem (Confederación Española de Organizaciones Empresariales). The event was held with the goal of demonstrate how the mining and metallurgical industries work according to the best practices. Several attendees participated in the event, such as members of the Spanish and Canadian Government, business associations and mining and metallurgical companies affiliated to Confedem.

 

Update about the results of the exploration and drilling campaign in the Valdeflorez Project

04/14/2017. Plymouth Minerals, as the partner in the development of the Lithium project in the old San Jose Mine, has published in their website a report with the reserves estimation of the deposit, updated with the new drilling campaign.

New presentation of the “Alconchel Project” at the School of Mines of Madrid

03/17/2017. After the successful lecture at the Toronto´s PDAC 2017 about the discovery of the Alconchel Deposit, Ismael Solaz has also presented this project at the auditorium of the School of Mines of Madrid. As the Head of Geology and Exploration of Valoriza Mineria, he has been invited by the GERRM (Grupo Especializado en Recursos y Reservas Minerales from the National Mining Engineers Association of Spain), to take part in the lecture series “The new mining of Spain”. 

It was the first time that this discovery that has confirmed the existence of another Copper Belt in the geological area of Ossa-Morena (South-Western Spain) has been openly discussed in Spain and the presentation was very well-received not only by the students of the school, but also by the very experienced professors at the university, whose expertise in the area is widely known.

 

Valoriza Minería presents the “Alconchel Project” in Toronto at PDAC 2017

Valoriza Minería has been invited to give a lecture at the 2017 International Convention, Trade Show & Investors Exchange, organized by the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada. The convention will take place in March, making Toronto the international capital for mining business for 4 days.

On March the 5th, there will be a Technical Session focused on Spain and Portugal called “Riches of the Iberian Peninsula” in which Ismael Solaz, Head of Geology and Exploration of Valoriza Minería, will present how the discovery of the Alconchel Deposit has confirmed the existence of another Copper Belt in South-Western Spain, in the geological area of Ossa-Morena.

Valoriza Minería, through its recently acquired subsidiary Río Narcea Nickel, has more than 1,200 km2 of Investigation Permits in the area, exploration which has confirmed this innovative fact.


 

Valoriza gets the property of all Lundin Mining actives in Spain

On November 29th 2016 Valoriza Minería signs the final agreement with Lundin Mining to acquire all of Río Narcea Recursos S.A. (RNR)´s shares. RNR is the owner of the Ni-Cu mine of Aguablanca and Río Narcea Nickel S.A. (RNN), focused on geological exploration and investigation. RNN has more than 20 Investigation Permits in the Iberian Pyritic Belt and Ossa-Morena.

This acquisition is a significant step forward for Valoriza Minería to become one of the leading companies in the mining sector in Spain and will result in the development of new projects. 

 

Valoriza Minería and Plymouth Minerals join to develop a new Lithium Project in Cáceres

Valoriza Minería, through its subsidiary Tecnología Extremeña del Litio, enters into an agreement with Plymouth Minerals for the potential development of the San José lithium-tin project in the Spanish region of Extremadura.

The San José Mine is a historical tin-lithium mine that operated in the 1960's with subsequent exploration and feasibility studies between 1985 and 1991 focused on abundant lithium and tin mineralization. Historical underground mining activities deployed multiple shafts and adits with a gravity concentration plant used to process the ore on site. The historical exploration and development work included 8,399 m of drilling as well as technical work and feasibility studies indicating potential recoveries of 90% Li and 80% Sn.
